Thank you for visiting Charlie's page! In his honor, we are taking one SMALL Step to help to raise funds for critical research to help eliminate the challenges of PWS.
This past year has been tough for everyone, and Charlie was no exception. It will come as no surprise to anyone who knows him that virtual school was NOT a good fit for Charlie. Over the Spring and Summer, we fumble and stumbled our way to a solution that allowed him to finally resume learning, and making some progress. In the Fall, we were approved for in-home ABA therapy every afternoon, and we tried to log on for one virtual class each morning. Little by little, activities are starting to resume, and Charlie is happily back at school in person four days a week, to music therapy on Saturdays, and attending "Spell to Communicate" sessions with the goal to better be able to express himself.
Charlie will be transitioning to high school this Fall, and moving on to bigger things. We'd like to see him have access to every opportunity like his brothers, and we believe investing in research is the best way to make that happen!
Please help us raise funds for FPWR. Funds raised will be used to advance PWS research through the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research. You can learn more about PWS and the research that is underway at http://www.fpwr.org.
Please join us and donate now! Every donation made by 5/31/21 will be matched, so you can double your impact!!
Thank you for caring for Charlie always!
