My family and I will be hosting our 5th Annual Live Life Full Fundraiser on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 from 12-5pm at Native Trails Winery in Lewistown, IL. Our event will feature live music by the Colin Helton Band, Nathan Taylor, and Erin Connolly. In addition, we will offer wine tasting, live & silent auctions, raffles, and concessions by Don and Nancy’s! All of the proceeds will directly benefit The Foundation for Prader Willi Research (FPWR) to help further medical treatment and therapies for those living with Prader Willi Syndrome. At our last event in 2021, more than 200 people attended and over $12,000 was raised for PWS research.
Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) is a rare genetic disorder causing extreme and unrelenting hunger coupled with a cruel, slow metabolism and low muscle tone. Extreme measures of locking food away in the home can keep children safe during the younger years. When parents can no longer care for their children, people with PWS must live in specialized group homes to keep them safe from food. We need your help to avoid this outcome and potentially help others worldwide with life-threatening obesity.
Our son, Elliot, is seven years old with Prader-Willi Syndrome. He is one of at least 250 people in Illinois with PWS. Modern research is working toward more effective treatments and an eventual cure for PWS. Every step we take leads us closer to the success these children deserve so that they can live independently.
We would like you to consider making a donation to our 2022 event.
With your help, we can raise awareness of PWS within the community, and help contribute to valuable medical research to further treatments for PWS. Together, we can make a better life for people living with PWS and other obesity-related conditions so that Elliot, and people like him, can
live life full
